The 31st Bienal de São Paulo - How to (...) things that don’t exist ’s traveling exhibition will visit cities in Brazil and abroad. Since February 2015, different selections from the exhibition have been hosted in São José dos Campos, São Paulo (FAAP), Campinas, São Paulo (SESC), Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais (Museu de Arte Murilo Mendes), Riberão Preto, São Paulo (FAAP), São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo (SESC), Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais (Palácio das Artes), Rio de Janeiro (Cidade das Artes), Sorocaba, São Paulo (OC Grande Otelo, Galeria Scarpa), Limeira, São Paulo (OC Carlos Gomes, Palacete Levy) e Cuiabá, Mato Grosso (Palácio da Instrução).

This is the first time that this program, created in 2011, will be leaving the country. The Fundação de Serralves, in Porto, Portugal, is hosting the exhibition until January 2016. Further stages will be confirmed. For Luis Terepins, president of the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, the traveling shows “aim to expand the possible interchange between the cultural life of São Paulo and exhibition spaces throughout the Brazilian countryside and abroad, bringing the issues raised by the 31st Bienal to new audiences and taking the exhibition into new directions.”

The Bienal's traveling exhibitions program is an initiative that reaches its third edition this year. The 29th Bienal and 30th Bienal's traveling shows have attracted 411,000 visitors altogether.
